Can hand tighten for very fragile parts, use inch lbs. torque wrench for extra control, (We recommend https://amzn.to/3YDCbmE with https://amzn.to/4cnIiyH), or hex wrench for tighter gripping.
Can hold across 2 or all 3 stations for longer parts
Made from 6061 aluminum.
Pulls part slightly down as it clamps for secure and flat parts!
Once clamped on shim, we suggest lightly facing off the whole top of Micro Vise clean to qualify the top Z surface. Then mill pockets as needed.

1. The Micro Vise. The best way to hold tiny parts for machining. Mount it on or onto the machine vise, and your ready to go!

2. Mount in or onto 6" machine vise. This bolts directly onto Kurt 6" vises as an option. The blue Kurt Machine vise shown is clamped tight on spacer blocks and & Micro Vise is secured to the back face of the machine vise jaw bringing this closer to the operator.

3. Place .010 or .020 shim (yellow) into Micro Vise as shown and snug up the 3 jaws with hex wrench or inch/lbs torque wrench for more precise control.

4. Machine Pockets to nest parts as needed. Here are 2 round parts as an example. The Micro Vise can hold almost any shape.

5. Some more sample parts that can be nested into the Micro Vise. Sometimes parts can be pocketed 80% into solid jaw, 20% movable jaw, sometimes 50% / 50%. Every part is different.

6. Some additional sample parts that can be nested into the Micro Vise. We recommend using an inch/lbs torque wrench for best repeatability. See below for specific recommendations.

7. The Micro Vise, by design, slightly pulls the part down and secure to the machined pocket floor. It can be hand tightened for super delicate parts, tightened with a hex wrench, or an inch/lbs torque wrench for best repeatability and control.

We recommend using an inch/lbs. torque wrench for the best repeatability and accuracy.
